ROOTS

My journey and desire to work with wood began in central Uganda over 35 years ago sparked by a simple yet profound gift from my uncle: a hand-made wooden car. There was nothing inherently special about the car itself; it was a modest creation. Yet, the fact that it was crafted specifically for me bestowed it with immense sentimental value. It transformed into one of the best presents I had ever received, igniting a passion deep within me. “The love of Wood.” This tinny car motivated me to pursue a Bachelor of Vocational Studies in Art and Industrial Design.

BIOGRAPHY

From a village town in central Uganda, Creativity has blossomed along side me. I didn’t just play with toys but crafted them, weaving joy among children in the aftermath of war. In a place where toys were scarce, my creations became symbols of hope for families rebuilding their lives after the ravages of war . This journey of resourcefulness not only satisfied my playful friends but also fueled an innovative spirit within me, driving a desire to create and inspire, transcending my local boundaries, leading to an extraordinary opportunity to Finland.
